The most prestigious TAMUQ college-level faculty awards went to several GFRC affiliates:
– Dr. Nimir Elbashir is the recipient of the Faculty Excellence Award in recognition of his remarkable achievements in research, teaching and service
– Dr. Ioannis Economou is the recipient of the Faculty Research Excellence Award in recognition of world-leading in research activities
– Dr. Bukur received an award for his 35 years of service to Texas A&M
