Dr. Ahmad K Hilaly is a Professor of Practice at the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering, Texas A&M University. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He also received his MBA from Colorado State University. He has 22 years of industrial experience. He held several leadership positions at Archer Daniels Midland Company, such as, Director of Process Development, Director of Fermentation Development and Director of Bioseparations. He has substantial experience in research management, collaboration with external R&D organizations, process development, and plant optimization. His expertise include process design, process development, mathematical modeling, process control, fermentation, chemical reactor optimization, separations, techno-economic assessment, and life cycle assessment (LCA). His research interests are in the areas of biopharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, biofuels, and renewable chemicals.
